Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Aphrodite House in Chania exceeded all my high expectations, making it a truly exceptional experience. The apartment's terrace was a standout feature, providing a perfect setting to unwind and enjoy meals with its spacious dining table, comfortable garden furniture, and a large sun umbrella offering welcome shade—a true haven after a day of exploring the nearby Venetian Harbour and archaeological museum. The attention to detail in the apartment was impeccable, with a well-equipped kitchen boasting high-quality cookware and utensils that catered to my love for cooking. The thoughtful provision of complimentary toiletries further enhanced the overall feeling of luxury and care. The hosts' hospitality was unparalleled, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort, much like the personal gifts and warm welcome toast with a traditional Cretan drink of Raki that added an extra special touch to my stay. The apartment's cleanliness, combined with the periodic cleaning service and changing of linens, truly made me feel pampered and allowed me to focus on fully immersing myself in the beauty and history of Crete. I cannot recommend Aphrodite House enough for its exceptional comfort, convenience, and unrivaled hospitality—I will definitely be returning on my next adventure in Greece.
